Contemporary Sage Green Deck with a Round Dining Set

A cantilever umbrella is the key to this layout, because its base sits beside the table rather than through it, so the shade can swing between the dining set and the loveseat as the sun moves. Keep the round table at the sunny end and the loveseat closer to the house. A 48-inch round table seats four comfortably and leaves more walking room than a rectangle on a medium deck. Repeating one muted green across chairs, loveseat and umbrella keeps the look calm and contemporary, while white planters and cushions brighten it. Powder-coated aluminum chairs with rope weave cost less than teak and need no sealing.
