Modern Black and White Laundry with a Styled Counter

A counter over the machines is prime folding space, so style it with restraint. Everything decorative and practical goes on one black tray at the end nearest the wall, leaving the rest clear for sorting and folding. Decanting detergent and softener into matching glass bottles with pumps removes loud packaging and makes measuring easier; tell them apart by shape or a small tag. Black accents on the tray, pumps, vase and pulls make white cabinets look crisp and modern. Keep a stack of folded towels on the counter too, because it looks styled and marks where clean laundry lands.
