Rustic Bedroom with a Reclaimed Wood Bed and Wool Rug
A bedroom rug should be big enough that your feet land on something soft on both sides of the bed. For a queen, that usually means an eight-by-ten tucked under the lower two-thirds of the bed; for a king, go nine-by-twelve. Layering a smaller hide or sheepskin at the foot adds texture and breaks up all the rectangles. Rustic rooms have so much wood that a woven wool rug is essential for softness and for sound, since it stops the room from echoing. Pick earthy browns and creams that echo the reclaimed wood so the rug grounds the room rather than fighting it.
This look is what our Room Makeovers service delivers.
